Rencontre avec un mec bien : Tom McRae

1 2

Several times in your album, you speak of taking opportunities, changing the fate others have chosen for you...
People are often trapped in fear of changing something in their lives, they're afraid escaping from the routine. I tried to avoid this. Failing was not an issue for me.

What would be your message to the audience then ?
I have no message ! I just try to make the listeners feel my emotions. If it helps them think about their life, why not ? but I'm not preaching anything. Who am I to do so anyway ?

Do you think your lyrics could be poetry, have you ever only read them ?
Yes, they could be seen as poetry in a way, but I never read them. It's because I write lyrics after composing the music. However words are precious for me.

Have you ever read French poetry ?
Yes, a little by Rimbaud. I know Bob Dylan was influenced by French poets.
